Jewish Federation
Names Chairs

The Jewish Federation of Met-
ropolitan Detroit has appointed
Peter Alter as chairman of the
new Planning and Allocations
Steering Committee, which is re-
sponsible for assessing local
needs and setting priorities. Al-
lan Nachman will serve as asso-
ciate chairman.
Membership of the committee,
which is sponsoring the Jan. 13
community-wide forum on com-
munal issues and unmet needs,
includes the recently appointed
or returning leaders of Federa-
tion's planning and agency rela-
tions divisions. These include:
Douglas Bloom, who chairs
the Jewish Education Division,
and Dr. Richard Krugel, Lynn
Sachse and Dottie Wagner, as-
sociate chairmen;
Susan Citrin, who chairs the
Culture and Group Services Di-
vision, and Susan E. Alterman,
Robert Kleiman and Terran
Leemis, associate chairmen; Har-
vey Kleiman, who chairs the
Community Services Division,
and Daniel Greenberg and H.
James Zack., Associate chairmen;
Jerome Schostak, who chairs the
Capital Needs Division; Barbara
Cook, who chairs the Resettle-
ment Committee; and Dr. Dan
Guyer, who chairs the Max M.
Fisher Jewish Community Foun-
dation.
