Workshop Set

Begins Wednesday
January 5, 1994

The Men's Club and Religious
School of Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue will co-sponsor the sec-
ond in a series of Tallit and
Tefillin Workshops — Sunday
morning get-togethers for young
teens and their parents.
This month's program, set for
10 a.m. Jan. 9, will begin with
a Shacharit service followed by
brunch and a workshop with
Rabbi Yosef Lange, a sofer.
Rabbi Lange will show the
group tefillin which he is in the
process of constructing and will
demonstrate the preparation of
parchment papers for tefillin
and mezuzot.
The session is open to every-
one, but is particularly aimed
at pre and post b'nai and b'not
mitzvah and their families. The
group will learn the specific
prayers of the morning service
and how to put on tefillin.

the current month through the
end of this program year.
Teen Connection is sponsor-
ing a ski trip to Pine Knob for
members on Jan. 16. The trip
will leave the West Bloomfield
Jewish Community Center at
8 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m.
There is a charge for this out-
ing.
