Bible Discussion
Is Planned

On Jan. 6, the Rebbitzin's Tish
will take place 7:30-9:30 p.m. at
the home of Alicia R. Nelson,
17235 Shervilla Place, South-
field. Each session is a discus-
sion of the Bible; singles of all
ages are welcome.

JCC Plans
New Classes

The winter '94 semester of
classes at the Jewish Commu-
nity Center will start the first
week of January.
Classes in dance (ballet, ball-
room, modern, street, country
line dance, Israeli, pre-ballet,
creative, tap, jazz), art (creative,
jewelry, ceramics, oil painting,
water media). theater, chess
(class and club), sign language,
bridge (all levels of instruction
and club), and computer for tots
are some of the classes offered
at Maple-Drake and Jimmy
Prentis Morris.

tion, all Shirley Siegal, 661-

"Bringing Biblical Women To
Life" is offered at the Maple-
Drake JCC on four consecutive
Wednesdays starting Jan. 19.
The group will meet with Elissa
Berg, religious school director
of Temple Kol Ami. There is a
charge. Pre-registration is re-
quired; call Eileen Polk, 661-
7649, to register.

Beth Achim
Kiddush Set

The cultural commission of
Congregation Beth Achim will
host the second in the series of
sit-down kiddushes Jan. 8 fol-
lowing services.
Rev. Joseph Baras, ritual di-
rector of Congregation Beth
Achim, will lead a discussion on
"The Goals and Reasons for the
Enslavement of the Jewish Peo-
ple in Egypt."
