a day of

You'll leave
feeling better

OMR'

Rabbi Hillel once wrote, "Do

not separate yourself from the

community." And on Sunday,

January 9th, you'll have an

opportunity to honor his words.

By attending the very first

community-wide Social Action

Day at the Maple/ Drake

Jewish Community Center.

From 1 to 5 pm, more than 30

local social service agencies

will assemble for one purpose:

to show you how you can

make a difference. There will

be seminars on everything from

the plight of the homeless to

. protecting the environment.

Also, renowned author and

lecturer Danny Siegel will be

there to share his thoughts on

izsassazearvowgfrafeaMakager

the value of community service.

All told, it'll be a day that

offers countless possibilities for

change. And all it takes to get

in the door is a donation of

one can of food. As for what

you leave with, that's a feeling

no amount of money can buy.
