For Seniors

Temple Israel's Choral Group
and Junior Choir will perform
a Chanukah concert at Hecht-
man Apartments/Fleischman
Residence 2 p.m. Dec. 12. Both
groups are directed by Elaine
Greenberg and accompanied by
Zina Shaykhet.

Trio In Concert
At Temple Israel

Temple Israel will host the sec-
ond concert in the Schreier
Chapel Chamber series 7:30
p.m. Dec. 12 at the temple. Fea-
tured will be the St. Clair Trio,
Emmanuelle Boisvert, Detroit
Symphony concerLmaster; Mar-
cy Chanteaux, assistant princi-
pal cellist; and pianist, Pauline
Martin.
Emmanuelle Boisvert was
the first woman to be appoint-
ed concertmaster of a major or-
chestra. Marcy Chanteaux
played cello with the Washing-
ton National Symphony and
subsequently succeeded Mischa
Kottler as the Detroit Sympho-
ny pianist. Pauline Martin
holds a doctor of musical arts
degree from the University of
Michigan and has appeared as
soloist with numerous orches-
tras.
This series is sponsored by

Maple-Drake
Celebrations

Me and My Grandchild and
Jewish Experiences For Fami-
lies will present a Readers The-
ater story hour for Chanukah 1
p.m. Dec. 12 at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Community Cen-
ter. Stories, music, crafts will
be presented. Admission is free.

The JCC, HomeHealth Ex-
change, the Jewish National
Fund and The Jewish News will
host a celebration of Tu B'She-
vat at Maple-Drake Jan. 23 at
2 p.m. Ron Coders and Josh
White Jr. will entertain. Ad-
mission is free.
