Rachel Mendleson, age 12, a 7th-grade student at
John Campbell Public School in Windsor and Shaar
Hashomayim religious school. Rachel has been
interested in art from an early age and has taken
classes in sketching, cartooning and watercolors. She
also enjoys dance and sports. She has entered the
Chanukah Art Contest for
several years and her winning
entry this year stresses the
family being together during
Chanukah.
All of the entries will be
displayed at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Jewish Community
Center in Oak Park during
Chanukah and can also be seen
during a special Chanukah pro-
gram at JPM for the entrants,
their families and the public at 7 Rachel Mendleson,
Grand Prize Winner
p.m. Dec. 14.
