ECUMENICAL AWARD

Temple Emanu-El and its
sisterhood were recently
honored at the Jewish
Community Council board
meeting for co-sponsoring
the annual Ecumenical
Passover Workshop and
model seder programs over
the last 10 years.
Jeannie Weiner, presi-
dent of the Jewish Commun-
ity Council presented the
award to Judy Nolish of
Temple Emanu-El. Par-
ticipation in this program
has reached 130, including
Christian clergy and lay
leaders from metropolitan
Detroit and Windsor. Rabbi
Lane Steinger leads guests
in a model seder, a tour of
the sanctuary and discusses
the holiday. Temple Emanu-
El will host the annual
workshop on March 3.

written by Liz Walters and
Kay-Ellen Murphy. "The
event was uplifting for cast
members," said Dr. Larry
