The membership committee of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
will host a congregational fam-
ily Shabbat dinner 6:15 p.m.
Dec. 10 at the synagogue. New
members will be honored.
The cost of the dinner will in-
clude a contribution to Mazon
— the Jewish response to
hunger. Also, there will be en-
tertainment and storytelling for
children.

Attic's Strand Theatre in Pon-

month of Tevet with a sit-down
kiddush Dec. 11 following Shab-
bat services.
During the Kiddush, there
will be a discussion about
tracing Jewish roots led by
archivist Judy Cantor
Other sit-down kiddushes
will take place Jan. 8 with
Reverend Joseph Baras; Feb.
12, Shula Fleisher; March 12,
Cantor Max Shimansky; May
7, Les Goldstein; and June 4,
members of the Beth Achim
Youth Department.

Workshop Set

Congregation Beit Kodesh of
Livonia will hold an adult
Chanukah worship 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 1 at the synagogue. This
will be the first of a new month-
ly series that will combine edu-
cational and social pro-
gramming to address Jewish
tradition and enhance holiday
celebrations.
Traditional music and re-
freshments will be part of the
evening, as well as dreidel
games. Chanukah gift shop
items also will be available.
