A Yiddish Hoe-Down with
Klezmer Tzvei will be at the
Maple-Drake Jewish Commu-
nity Center 1 p.m. Dec. 6. There
will be refreshments and a raf-

Ethnicity
Is Discussed

"Ethnic Diversity in Our Lives
Today" will be the topic of Pro-
fessor Otto Feinstein 1 p.m.
Dec. 2 at the Maple-Drake Jew-
ish Community Center.
Professor Feinstein is a mem-
ber of the political science de-
partment at Wayne State
University. He teaches courses
in American government, ur-
ban politics and policy, and eth-
nicity. Professor Feinstein's
research interests are in the ar-
eas of adult higher education
policies and the questions of
ethnicity.

Rabbi Gershon Leads
Torah Study Session

Rabbi William Gershon, of Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek, will
lead the Conservative Move-
ment Torah Study 12:30 p.m.
Dec. 9 at the Federation build-
ing. The study session is spon-
sored by the Michigan Region
of the United Synagogue, the
Michigan Region Rabbinical As-
sembly, and the Jewish Theo-
logical Seminary.
Rabbi Gershon serves on the
board of Hillel Day School, the
Agency for Jewish Education
Transition Team and the Cul-
ture and Group Services Divi-
sion of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Study sessions are held every
Thursday. There is no charge
for the class; a dairy lunch is
available for a charge, by reser-
