lunch and learn Torah study
Dec. 2 with Rabbi Aaron
Bergman. Participants will
study Parshat Vayeshev. The
study group is sponsored jointly
by the Jewish Theological Sem-
inary, Michigan Region United
Synagogue and the Michigan
Region Rabbinical Assembly.
Sessions will be held every
Thursday 12:30 p.m. in the
Jewish Federation building.
There is no charge for the class;
lunch is available at a charge
starting at noon.
No prior background is re-
quired and each study session
is self contained.

how the biblical story has been
treated by contemporaryAmer-
ican and Israeli poets and also
will discuss differences between
Christian and Jewish interpre-
