If you are a single 2 red bell peppers, halved lengthwise and seeds removed 2 orange bell peppers, halved lengthwise and seeds removed 1-2 tablespoons olive oil 1 /2 cup pecan halves 2 teaspoons olive oil 2 cups plain yogurt salt and pepper to taste 2 tablespoons shredded mint leaves or 2 teaspoons dried Preheat broiler. Place pep- pers, cut side down, on baking sheet. Brush skin side lightly with 2 tablespoons oil. Place 6 -inch- es under broiler heat and cook 15 minutes, turning once or twice, or until browned and slightly softened. If browning too quickly, place on lower rack. While peppers are cooking, fry pecan halves in 2 teaspoons oil in small non-stick skillet over high heat, for 1 minute, stirring constantly.Drain on paper tow- els. Season yogurt to taste with salt and pepper and pour into shallow serving dish. Place pep- pers on top, alternating red and orange. Scatter pecans and mint over. Serves 8. vices. Services begin on Friday evenings at 8:30 p.m. and are PISTACHIO-PINE CONFECTIONS /4 cup pine nuts 1 /4 cup pistachios, finely chopped 21/4 cups sugar 1 cup water 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice 8 oz prepared almond paste or marzipan at room temperature 2 teaspoons rosewater Combine pine nuts and chopped pistachios in shallow dish. Set aside.In large sauce- pan, combine sugar, water and lemon juice. Bring to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and cook 15 minutes, stirring occa- sionally, or until mixture forms a syrup. Remove from heat. In medium bowl, combine al- mond paste and rosewater. Roll mixture into walnut-size balls. With slotted spoon, quickly dip balls into syrup, coating all sides. Roll each syrup-coated ball in nut mixture and place on wax paper to dry.
