A musical celebration for the
family will take place 3 p.m.
Dec. 12 when Gemini comes to
Congregation Beth Achim.
Gemini, twin brother musi-
cians Sandor and Lazio Slo-
movitz, will present songs, folk
tales, humor and will play sev-
eral musical instruments.
Following the concert, JEFF
will present a free Chanukah
carnival.
At 5:30 p.m. there will be a
Chanukah dinner. Rabbi Mar-
tin Berman will lead the chil-
dren in lighting the menorah
and Cantor Max Shimansky
will present a program of
Chanukah songs.
There is a charge. Dinner

The Vivace Series of the Birm-
ingham Temple will present
mezzo-soprano Irina Lekhtman
7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. She will of-
fer a program of ethnic songs,
American musicals and lyric op-
eratic arias.

man will be pianist Zina As-
trakahn. An afterglow will
follow the performance. There
