Chanukah will be the subject
9:30 a.m. Nov. 14 when parents
and grandparents meet for the
second in a series of programs
presented by Temple Beth El
and Jewish Experiences For
Families.
The programs, "Creating
Jewish Memories: The
`Fun'damentals of Jewish
Celebrations," provide par-
ents with the tools to create
holiday experiences for their
children.
The Chanukah session will
be led by Julie Greenblatt. In-
cluded will be the opportuni-
ty for participants to share
their own holiday memories.
Bagels and coffee will be
served at 9:30 a.m. followed
by the program. The session
is free to temple members;
there is a charge for non-
members.

Life Hosts
Workshop
The LIFE (Learning Is a Fam-
ily Experience) program of Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe will have
a workshop Nov. 14 from 8:45
a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the syna-
gogue. The workshop, titled
"Celebrating Shabbat," will an-
swer the question How to make
Shabbat a part of our family life.
There will be singing and
a mid-morning breakfast.
There is no charge for B'nai
Moshe children enrolled in
the LIFE program, Hillel Day
School or other Jewish
schools.

announcements is 10 a.m.

Two Talks
Machon L'Torah will hold an
educational program for new
Americans 11 a.m. Nov. 7 at the
Machon Learning Center. The
program will include refresh-
ments followed by a lecture on
the topic "life and Death at the
Tip of the Tongue — the In-
credible Importance of Positive
and Negative Use of Language"
led by Rabbi Avraham Ja-
cobovitz.
The program will be trans-

Kahane's Son
Will Speak
The Committee of the Jewish
Idea will bring Binyamin Zev
Kahane, son of Rabbi Meir Ka-
hane, to Detroit to speak in
commemoration of his father's
passing 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at the
Berkshire Hotel. The topic will
be "Surrender is National Sui-
cide," the story of Israel's sur-
rendering in the face of the
PLO.

A very successful Kosher Food Fair exhibition was held under the supervision of the
Council of Rabbis. We extend a Yashe Koach to the Neighborhood Project at the
Jewish Community Center for a job well done.
Dunkin' Donuts, located at 28799 Northwestern Highway, which is under the super-
vision of the Council of Rabbis, now serves Chopsie's Pizza.
With regard to airline meals that are under Kosher supervision, the casserole — hot
dish — must be double wrapped and sealed with the name of the airline caterer and
Kosher symbol on it.
Koltech Industries of Lakewood, New Jersey, has produced the first Kosher animal
gelatin in over 30 years. It is called Kolatin Brand.
