The Youth Department of Con-
gregation Beth Achim has
events planned for the month
of November.
On Nov. 7 it is Lunch and
Movie Time for the Kadima
Youth group (grades 6-8).
Lunch will begin at 1 p.m.
followed by a movie.
"Bring A Friend To Shab-
bat Lunch" will take place
Nov. 13 following Shabbat
services. Reservations are re-
quired by Nov. 10.
On Nov. 14, Lahav (grades
9-12) will go horseback rid-
ing at 1 p.m. B'nai Mazel and
Nitzanim (ages 3-7) will vis-
it Fun with Plaster.

Installation

Congregation Beth Shalom's
United Synagogue Youth group
will install officers at a dinner-
dance 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the
synagogue.
Following the installation
of officers, there will be a pro-

Shir Tikvah Sets
Singles Shabbat

Congregation Shir Tivkah will
host the third community-wide
Shabbat Singles Service 8:30
p.m. Nov. 12. Led by Rabbi
Arnie Sleutelberg, the services
will be held at Temple Israel.
Following services, Sylvia S.
Hacker will speak on "Can We
Talk: Yes We Can. Human Sex-
uality in the '90s." Dr. Hacker,
an associate professor on the
faculty of the University of
Michigan's Schools of Nursing
and Public Health, is an expert
on human sexuality.
The community-wide Shab-
bat singles program is made
possible by a grant from the
Max M. Fisher Foundation of
the Jewish Federation of Met-
ropolitan Detroit, in cooperation
with The Jewish News and the
Jewish Community Center. The
program is sponsored by the
Michigan Board of Rabbis.
An Oneg Shabbat will follow
services and Dr. Hacker's
