A discussion of "Heart
rik Smart Kosher" will be fea-
tured at the Kosher Food
Fair, Oct. 31, at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center.
A nutritionist from Sinai
Hospital will discuss menus
and ways to prepare healthy
kosher meals at the program,
sponsored by the Neighborhood
Project of the Jewish Federa-
tion of Metropolitan Detroit.
The afternoon, which will
present a taste of the tradition-
al and not-so-traditional Jew-
ish fare, will include food
retailers and caterers exhibit-
ing samples of their selections
and cooking demonstrations.
There will be entertainment,
including folk singer Judy Gold-
stein, prizes and holiday table
settings by local celebrities.
The fair, which will feature
both meat and dairy food, is un-
der the supervision of the Coun-
cil of Orthodox Rabbis. The fair
is co-sponsored by Comerica
Bank, Manischewitz, the Jew-
ish Community Center and
Jewish Federation Apartments.

Honors Sexton

Shalom Ralph will become sex-
ton emeritus of Congregation
B'nai Moshe effective Novem-
ber.
B'nai Moshe will honor Mr.
Ralph for his 45 years of service
with a dinner dance Nov. 21.

community forum 7:30 p.m
Nov. 4 in the Agency for Jew-
ish Education, sponsored by
the American Zionist Move-
ment, Michigan Region.
The forum will discuss
"What should be the role of
reli gi on in Israeli government
and society?" Panelists in-
clude: Rabbi Milton Arm;
Professor Robert Sedler,
IMayne State University Law
School; Rabbi Dov Bergstein,
Farmington Hills. John
O'Neill, chairman of the Fo-
rum Committee of AZM
