glaze over top and sides. The cake may be re- frigerated up to three days, or frozen. Serve chilled or at room temperature. It's delicious ungarnished; but if you wish to gild it with chocolate or butterscotch leaves, here's how: Wash and dry nonpoisonous leaves such as lemon, camellia, or rose. Spread the underside with melted white chocolate or melted butterscotch chips. Re- frigerate the coated leaves until firm, then carefully pull back on the garden leaves to re- move them. They can be stored in the re- frigerator or freezer in airtight containers. To tint them with gold, as pictured, purchase ed- ible gold leaf from a cake decorating shop and paint it on the white chocolate leaves. Makes 12 servings.
