DR. I. WALTER SILVER, a life-long Zionist'activist and board member of
Detroit ZOA was a delegate to a number of national ZOA conventions
in this country and in Israel. He is amember of Temple Israel and its
Brotherhood and of the Phi Lambda Kappa Medical Fraternity. He was
a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and
honored by the Michigan Medical Society in recognition of "50 years
of family practice" and cited by the Detroit Medical Society for his con-
tribution to the medical profession.

Anne Gonte Silver and her husband Dr. I. Walter Silver are endowing a Physics
Laboratory at the Weisman Science Center in Kfar Silver Campus in Israel.

ANNE GONTE SILVER, an attorney and civic and community leader,
was honored by the Detroit Zionist Federation as "Zionist Woman of
the Year" on March 25, 1993 and was cited by Metro Detroit ZOA for
her leadership as chairperson of successive Balfour Celebration con-
certs. She served as national vice president of the ZOA and a member
of its national executive committee ; a former president of the
Maimonides Medical Society's Women, she is a board member of the
Jewish National Fund, Israel Bonds-Women's Division and has been
associated with Women's American "Ort," Hadassah, the Wiesenthal
Center, Temple Israel Sisterhood and the Holocaust Memorial Center.

Mrs. Silver was previously cited as a 50-year member of the Michigan
Bar, the Women's Survival Center, the Michigan and Oakland County
Bar associations and was named "pioneer and trailblazer" in advan-
cing women in the legal profession by the City of Beverly Hills.
