Pointe Council
Hosts Lecture
The Grosse Pointe Jewish
Council will host a lecture by
Elliot Wilhelm, director of the
Detroit Film Theater at the De-
troit Institute of Arts 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 1 at the Grosse Pointe Uni-
tarian Church, 17150 Maumee,
Grosse Pointe.
The lecture will focus on the
history of the DIA's film pro-
gram and touch on recent films
and what trends they may in-
dicate.
Elliot Wilhelm also is the
DIA's curator of film. He has
taught classes at Wayne State
University and works as a film
critic for local television and ra-
dio stations.
