Events Set

Michigan State University Hil-
lel will host the following pro-
grams. On Oct. 22, Hillel will
sponsor Conservative services
at 6:15 p.m. followed by a Shab-
bat dinner at 7 p.m. There is a
charge and reservations are re-

On Oct. 24, the cultural
committee will sponsor an Is-
raeli Culture Night at 6 p.m.
Detroit shaliach Jeff Kay will
have Israel program infor-
mation and there will be Is-
raeli dancing and a falafel
dinner.
On Oct. 27, Rabbi Ja-
cobowitz of Machon L'Torah
will speak at 7:30 p.m. on
"Why Bad Things Happen to
Good People." There is no
charge and refreshments will
be served.

Hillel at University of Michi-
gan, Ann Arbor, will host the
following events.
Israeli dancing will take
place 8 -10 p.m. Oct. 24.
There is a charge.
Shulchan Ivrit will meet in
the Tap Room of the Michi-
gan Union 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25.
A lecture on "Ethiopian
Jews in Israel" will be deliv-
ered 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at Hillel.
Grads and Young Profes-
sionals will have a Vegetari-
an Potluck 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29
at the Law Quad. Ari
Weinzweig, owner of Zinger-
man's deli, will share his
thoughts on Jewish food. For
