The Midrasha Center for Adult
Jewish Learning will offer a 10-
week study group conducted en-
tirely in Hebrew, using Israeli
newspapers and other primary
sources to discuss current
events, culture, politics and
other subjects.
The study group, called
Havurah Ivrit, will be led by
Nira Lev and Tsiona Ragowsky
and will meet on Wednesday
mornings 10 a.m.-noon starting
October 27, at the Agency for
Jewish Education, 21550 West
12 Mile Road, Southfield.
Advance registration is re-
quired, and there is a charge.
Havurah Ivrit is an advanced-
level Hebrew-speaking experi-
ence for adult learners. For

Hosts Events

The Workmen's Circle/Arbeter
Ring will host a talk 5 p.m. Oct.
24 titled "Organized Labor in
New Russia" given by David
Hecker and Alice Audie-Fig-
ueroa. Mr. Hecker is executive
assistant to the president of
Metro Detroit AFL-CIO. Ms.
Audie-Figueroa is an economist
with the U.A.W. A dinner will
