BBW Honor
Dorothy Bodzin

In celebration of her 75th birth-
day and the 50th Anniversary
of the founding of the Residen-
tial Treatment Center in Israel,
the B'nai B'rith Women of Met-
ropolitan Detroit will honor
Dorothy Bodzin at their annu-
al special gifts luncheon, noon
Oct. 31 at Congregation B'nai
Moshe.
Mrs. Bodzin is a life member
of B'nai B'rith Women. She is a
past president of Louis Mar-
shall Chapter and past presi-
dent of BBW Council.
Mrs. Bodzin received the Na-
tional BBYO Gold key for her
activities with the regional
board. She was on the ADL
board for 10 years, worked for
the Red Cross Blood Bank with
BBW and was a founder of the
Council Study Group.
Dorothy Bodzin is a member
of Congregation B'nai Moshe
and its sisterhood, a life mem-
ber of Hadassah and the Jew-
ish Home for Aged, where she
is a volunteer.
Funds raised at the luncheon
and direct solicitation, support
the Children's Home in Israel
where emotionally disturbed
children are treated in a com-
pletely drug-free therapeutic
environment.

Meeting Set
For BBW

Detroit Chapter B'nai B'rith
Women will hold their regular
meeting noon Oct. 20 at the
Sutton Place clubhouse. There
is a charge.
A musical program will be
given by the Royal Oak Senior
Singers. Reservations are re-
quired; call Fr ita Drapkin, 851-
2671.

Women who participated in the
Michigan Miracle Mission are
invited to see the every-day mir-
acles taking place at agencies
of the Jewish Federation of Met-
ropolitan Detroit on three "mini-
missions" Oct. 19, 31 and Nov.
4.
The first mini-mission will
visit the Harriett and Ben Tei-
tel Jewish Federation Apart-
ments 9:15 a.m. Oct. 19. The
morning will feature remarks
by Rabbi Alon Tolwin of Aish
HaTorah. Lunch is included.
On Oct. 31, Rabbi Efry Spec-
tre of Adat Shalom Synagogue
will speak to visitors at the Jew-
ish Home for Aged Fleischman
Residence at 9:30 a.m. The tour
will include continental break-
fast.
The Jewish Vocational Serv-
ice will be the site of the third
mini-mission Nov. 4. Beginning
at 9:15 a.m., the program, with
remarks by Rabbi Norman Ro-
man of Temple Kol Ami, and
will include lunch.
Spouses and friends are wel-
come to participate in the mini-
missions. There is a charge. For

David-Horodoker Women's Or-
ganization will hold their 56th
Donor Luncheon noon Nov. 2 at
Congregation Beth Achim.

the invocation and entertain-

Ruach Section
Hosts Dinner

The Jewish Federation Busi-
ness and Professional Women's
Division Ruach Section will host
a dinrier on behalf of the 1994
Allied Jewish Campaign with
residents of the Harriett and
Ben Teitel Jewish Federation
Apartments 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at the
Teitel Apartments.
The gathering is open to con-
tributors of $2,000 or more to
the Campaign.
The program will include the
presentation of new and used
books and magazines for the
Teitel Library. There will be no
announcing of gifts; there will
be a charge for dinner.
