IRVING SILK, 85, of South-
field, died Sept. 26. He leaves
his wife, Eleanore; daughters,
Susan and Barbara, both of
Chicago.

DR. WILLIAM WINER, 81, of
South Bend, Ind., died Sept. 27.
He leaves a daughter, Rochelle
Friend of Grand Rapids; sisters,
Anne Keltz and Eva Wolf, both
of Oak Park; two grandchildren.

Dr. Friedman

Dr. Lee E. Friedman, 52, of
West Bloomfield, died Sept. 23.
He graduated from Ohio Col-
lege of Podiatric Medicine in
Cleveland, Ohio, and was past
chief of staff of Kern Hospital,
Warren. He practiced podiatry
in Waterford Township for 25
years. Dr. Friedman belonged
to the Michigan Podiatric Med-
ical Association. He was secre-
tary/treasurer of the American
Association of Foot Care Cen-
ters, past president of the Mid-
West Podiatry Association and
a member of Temple Kol Ami.
He is survived by his wife,
Annette J.; daughters, Kara
and Marjie of West Bloomfield;
brother and sister-in-law, Dr.
Irving and Honey of West
Bloomfield; sister and brother-
in-law, Rosalyn and Dr. Morris
Rubin of West Bloomfield.

Marilyn Frumkin

Marilyn Frumkin, 62, of West
Bloomfield, died Sept. 23. For
the past 15 years, Mrs.
Frumkin has been the public re-
lations director for the State of
Israel Bonds, Development Cor-i
poration for Israel. She was a -
member of the National Mensa
Society, a member of ORT and
Na'amat.
She was the first student to
register at the Orchard Ridge
Campus of Oakland Commu-
nity College in Farmington
Hills. She wrote the Mama col-
umn for the OCC newspaper
and later interned at the Ob-
server-Eccentric. She was a
1975 graduate from the Wayne
State University School of Jour-
nalism.
She is survived by her hus-
band, Sidney; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Paul and Nancy of
West Bloomfield; daughter,
Beth of Arm Arbor; sister and
brother-in-law, Barbara and
Fred Garfinkel of West Bloom-
field; two granddaughters. ❑
