"Jewish Answers to Children's
Questions" is a program to be
conducted by Rabbi Robert
Orkand 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Tem-
ple Kol Ami, West Bloomfield.
Rabbi Orkand, a congrega-
tional rabbi from Westport,
Conn., is the coauthor of the two
standard Reform prayer books
for children, the Gates of Won-
der and the Gates of Awe, as
well as the editor of a Reform
Passover Haggadah for young
children to be published in
1994. He chairs the Commis-
sion on Jewish Education for
the Reform Jewish Movement.

Readers Theater
Set For Oct. 10

Readers Theater will continue
the 1993 fall season 3:30 p.m.
Oct. 10 at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center.
This production will be ded-
icated to the memory of Alan
Harvey, an actor who had been
associated with Readers The-
ater. Stories by David B. Fein-
berg, Jyl Lynn Telman, David
Leavitt, Leslea Newman and
Lev Raphael will be presented
by Shirley Benyas, Stuart
Grant, Nancy Lipschultz, Gor-
dan Reinhart and Miriam
Yezbick.
There will be complimentary
refreshments served at 3 p.m.
There is a charge for this pro-
