Children's Group
Plans Events

The Birmingham Jewish Chil-
dren's group has put together a
fall/winter schedule of events
for boys and girls ages 4-12.
The Sukkah Experience with
pizza and ice cream will be Sun-
day, Oct. 3 at the home of the
Kohns, 871 N. Glenhurst, Birm-
ingham.
The Jewish Children's Book
exhibit and reading time will be
Nov. 7. Dec. 12 will be a
Chanukah rally. On Jan. 2 chil-
dren can play games the Jew-
ish way. On Feb. 6 there will be
a special story hour video with
refreshments and prizes.
There is a charge for each
event. The times are 2-3:30 p.m.
All events, except the first, will
take place at the Baldwin Pub-
lic Library, 300 W. Merrill.
Parents are invited to par-
ticipate. There will be prizes to
those who attend all five events.

Story Hour

A Shabbat Story Hour is set for
11 a.m.-noon Oct. 16 at the
Birmingham Temple. This will
be a time for parents and young
children to celebrate a cultural
and Humanistic Shabbat to-
gether, for children ages 3 to 6
with their parents.
