'93" benefit with guest
speaker Elsa Klensch, the
fashion editor for CNN, at
the Troy Marriott Hotel. The
Fashion Group, a non-profit
association which benefits
the community through stu-
dent scholarships in fashion
and design, honored four
local "stylemakers."

The 1994 Detroit Symphony
Designer Showcase home
will be available to the
public Oct. 2-24, Tuesday-
Saturday. It is a major fund-
raising event for the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra Hall
Volunteer Council. This
year's showhouse is an old
world mansion with a spec-
tacular view of Lower Long
Lake in Bloomfield Hills.
The home has been named
"Villa Barona," and is is
located at 3376 Franklin Rd.
Gurka and Siler are the
builders, with the Erlich
Development Co. The DSOH
has enlisted the help of 24
top local designers to
enhance the rooms of this
