are the tournament directors.
"I really appreciate the efforts
that everyone has made to get
the tournament organized, and
I especially want to thank
(Franklin owner) Seymour
Brode for being so helpful," Mrs.
Young said.
Mrs. Young is in her first
year as a teaching paraprofes-
sional in the PRIDE program
for special education students
at Southfield-Lathrup High
School. This is her sixth year at
the school and her 18th in the
Southfield school district.
The JCC's Plotnick played
with and against Mr. Young in
many racquetball matches. At
one time, they were teammates
on a JCC entry in a metropoli-
tan area league. Mr. Young was
a JCC member, and he wouldn't
hesitate to teach the game to
someone there if he wanted to
learn.
"Sam was a unique man,"
Plotnick said. "He was a won-
derful, caring guy who was to-
tally committed to his family.
And, he was a fabulous rac-
quetball player."
Tournament entry forms are
available at both Franklin and
the JCC. For further informa-
tion, contact Mrs. Young, 682-
9588; or Bob Szuch at Franklin,
