Dr. Treitel
Talks On Caring

Temple Israel's Treasures, a
group of active seniors, will
host Dr. Richard Treitel,
clinical psychologist, at a
meeting 12:30 p.m. Sept. 22
at the temple.
Dr. Treitel, past chair of the
Temple's Caring Community
Committee, will speak on
"Caring and the Commu-
nity." Refreshments will be
served.

JPM Events
For Seniors

Jack Leve will teach line dan-
cing classes on a weekly basis
every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center. Tickets
for the six-week series can be
purchased at the JPM box of-
fice. There is a charge.
Richard Berg will tell High
Holiday tales and stories
about some of his family's
Jewish objects 1 p.m. Sept. 23
at JPM. Participants will be
invited to share stories about
a family treasure. Apples and
honey will be served. Reserve
tickets at the JPM box office.
Bingo will be played 12:30
p.m. Sept. 27. Refreshments
will be available; there is a
charge.
Harriet Gelfond offers one-
on-one guidance in art classes
9 a.m.-noon Monday, Wednes-

Pewabic Opens
Two Exhibits

"A Gentle Touch," an exhibi-
tion of work by five artists,
will be held in Pewabic's first
floor gallery through Nov. 13.
Work by Todd Johnson will be
shown in a solo exhibition in
the Pottery's second floor
Stratton Gallery.
"A Gentle Touch" will in-
clude work by Larry Bush,
Victoria Christen, Kim
Dickey, Jacquie Rice and
Catherine White. The work of
these artists plays on the tac-
tile qualities of clay.

Artist's Work
On Display

Artwork created by Sandra
Levin of Farmington Hills
will be on display at the Our
Town Exhibition at the Com-
munity House in Birm-
ingham, Oct. 21-24, 10 a.m.-5
p.m. each day.
Ms. Levin will teach classes
in painting and art apprecia-
tion at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center
beginning Sept. 27. For infor-
