Chabad Marks
Annual Siyum

Bais Chabad Torah Center in
conjunction with the other
Chabad houses of Michigan
will host a dinner in honor of
the 10th annual Siyum
Harambam 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at
Congregation Dovid Ben
Nuchim, Oak Park.
Ten years ago the Lubav-
itcher Rebbe initiated the
daily study of Mishna Torah
of the Rambam. The Siyum
Harambam celebrates the an-
nual completion of study of
this work.
The speaker will be Rabbi
Shalom Ber Wineberg, the
representative of the Lubav-
itcher Rebbe to the state of
Kansas. Rabbi Wineberg will
speak on "Rambam and the
Ten Days of Penitence — A
Chasidic Perspective." There
is a charge.

Shabbat Video

The Sally Allan Alexander
Beth Jacob School, in con-
junction with the Chofetz
Chaim Heritage Foundation,
will sponsor a video presenta-
tion of Rabbi Paysach J.
Krohn on "Erev Shabbos
Shalom" 8:45 p.m. Sept. 21 at
the Beth Jacob School.
Rabbi Krohn is a lecturer
and author of the Maggid
series of books. This program
will give tips on how to usher
in the Shabbat.

Machon Plans
Two Classes

Machon L'Torah will hold a
class for women 11:15 a.m.
Sept. 19. Rabbi Avraham
Jacobovitz will give the class
on "The Laws of Shabbat" at
Machon L'Torah. There is no
charge.
For the High Holy Days,
Machon L'Torah will hold the
last class of the five-week
series in basic Hebrew given
by Jeff Perlstein.
The class will be held 7:30
p.m. Sept. 21 at Machon
L'Torah. For information and
