helped form the American
Israel Chamber of Commerce
of Michigan, is leaving the
not-for-profit organization she
founded to enter private busi-
ness.
The Chamber, which pro-
motes trade between Israeli
and Michigan companies, will
provide economic develop-
ment assistance in affiliation
with the American-Israel
Chamber of Commerce of
Chicago and with the Israel
Office of Trade Ministry in
Chicago.
A luncheon will be held
Tuesday in honor of Ms.
Jackier, who has served as
the organization's only execu-
tive director.
Meanwhile, a national
group, the Association of
North American Israel
Chamber of Commerces,
based in Chicago, has been
formed after years of plan-
ning. Member cities are
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago,
Detroit, Honolulu, Houston,
Minneapolis, New York,
Philadelphia, St. Louis and
Toronto.
In other Chamber news,
DORON LASS, CEO and
president of Robomatix Inter-
national, a laser robot manu-
facturer in Wixom, and WAL-
LACE WILLLIMS, vice pres-
ident of marketing for Metco
Engineering Services and
director of minority business
at the University of Michigan
business school, will be hon-
ored at the sixth annual
Israel trade award dinner at
the Novi Hilton on Oct. 18.
