Adat Shalom
Plans For Teens
Adat Shalom Synagogue's
Nosh 'n Drash Program for
teen-agers will begin its fifth
season with an Information and
Registration Meeting 7 p.m.
Sept. 13 at the synagogue. Both
students and parents are
invited to attend.
This social/education pro-
gram will take place 6-9 p.m.
every Monday beginning Sept.
27. The evening will start with
a dinner/social hour. United
Synagogue Youth activities are
highlighted, and important
community figures are
frequently presented. Students
also begin to focus on future
college choices and summers.
In the more formal Jewish
education component which
follows, each student will enroll
in two classes, one required and
one elective. Expanded choices
will include a concentration in
Hebrew, Jewish history, con-
temporary issues and other
relevant topics.
Tenth graders and older who
fulfill specific requirements are
eligible for Confirmation, which
culminates in a special cere-
mony at the end of the year.
Rabbi Efry Spectre, Cantor
Howard Glantz and other
instructors comprise the Nosh
'n Drash faculty.
A family does not need to be
members of Adat Shalom in
order to enroll their teen-agers.
For information, call Marc Kay,
