lunchtime mini conference
12:15 p.m. Sept. 8 at Beaumont
Medical Building, 6900 Orchard
Lake Road, West Bloomfield.
Rabbi Jacobovitz will lead the
discussion on "Prophecy: Myth
& Reality." There is no charge.

Rabbi Ezriel Tauber, writer
and lecturer from Monsey, N.Y.,
will be the speaker at a special
Selichot night event sponsored
by Machon. The program,
scheduled for 11 p.m. Sept. 11,
will be held at Machon's
Learning Center, 15221 W. 10
Mile Road.
The evening will include
opening remarks by Rabbi
Jacobovitz and a lecture on "We
Are One; Why and How" by
Rabbi Tauber. There is no
charge.
Rabbi Tauber will lead a
program at Machon Sept. 10;
there is a charge. A special
lecture for Machon's women's
division will be given Sept. 11.

men's program with Ilana
Harkavi has had a schedule
change. The event, "The Make-
Up of the Jewish Woman,
Interfacing Body and Soul," will
be held 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12:
continental breakfast at 11
a.m.; lecture at 11:45 a.m.;
make-over workshops to follow.
All will take place at Machon
L'Torah's Learning Center.

Hosts Classes

Aish HaTorah hosts lunch and
learn classes weekly: Tuesday
at the Federation building in
Bloomfield Hills; Wednesday at
Sherman Shoes in Birming-
ham; Thursday at The Jewish
News in Southfield.
All lunch and learns meet
from noon-1 p.m. Participants
are to bring their own lunches.
