Corinne Stavish

Storyteller At
Shabbat Service

Corinne Stavish, a profes-
sional storyteller, will add
stories from Jewish folklore to
a "Bring A Friend" Shabbat
service at Congregation
T'chiyah 10 a.m. Aug. 28.
The service will be led by
Molly Harris and John
Wright at Detroit's only
Reconstructionist synagogue,
located at 1035 St. Antoine at
Monroe in Greektown. It will
be followed by kiddush.
Ms. Stavish, who is on the
humanities faculty as
Lawrence Technological
University, also is a teacher
at the Community Jewish
High School, focusing on
literature, folklore and
theater. For the past two
years, she has directed the bi-
cultural theater group at the
Agency for Jewish Education.
