Hosts Concert
Temple Israel's first program
in this season's sanctuary
series will be a Family Con-
cert Under the Stars featur-
ing David Syme on the piano
and Cantor Harold Orbach
performing "Favorite Broad-
way Melodies" 7:30 p.m. Aug.
19. It will be sponsored by the
temple's Myron and Mildred
Steinberg/Andrew Chalat
Concert Fund.
Picnic baskets, lawn chairs
and blankets are encouraged.
There also will be foods and
beverages for sale. In case of
rain, the concert will be mov-
ed inside.
David Syme made a perfor-
mance debut when he was 18
with the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra before attending
the Juilliard School of
Music. He has performed
throughout North America
and Europe and made
numerous recordings.
Cantor Orbach has ap-
peared in concerts and operas
worldwide.

ship picnic and swim party
