dancing 1 p.m. Aug. 10 at
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center. Reserve
tickets at the JPM box office.
There is a charge.
A picnic will be held at JPM
noon Aug. 12. Reserve tickets
at the -JPM box office. There
is a charge.
A trip to Greenfield Village
will be held Aug. 9. Par-
ticipants should bring their
own lunch and walking shoes.
The bus will leave JPM 9:30
a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m.
There is a charge. Reserve
tickets at the JPM box office.
The Wednesday Friendship
Group meets at 10:30 a.m. for
discussion. The Center Men's
Forum meets Thursdays at
10:30 a.m. Bible Study meets
Wednesdays at 11 a.m. The
Ben Gurion Men's Club meets
each weekday at noon.
Instruction in various
media is available through
the Adult Services Depart-
ment at the JPM. Classes are
offered 9 a.m.-noon Monday,
Wednesday and Friday.
Beginning folkdance
lessons are available at 9:30
a.m. Wednesday at the JPM.
Cantor Max Shimansky
leads a program each Friday
at 12:30 p.m. at the JPM.

Senior Events
At Maple-Drake

A Yiddish group will meet 1
p.m. Aug. 23 at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Community
Center. There is a charge for
non-members.
A movie discussion group
will meet 1 p.m. Aug. 24 at
Maple-Drake. Call 661-1000
ext. 345 for the title.
The Men's Club will meet
Mondays at 10 a.m. Canasta
and mah-jongg are played
Mondays and Thursdays at 10
a.m.
The low-vision support
group will meet 12:30 p.m.
Aug. 25 at JPM. The group
will attend a movie at an area
theater.

Young At Heart
See Slide Show

Congregation Beth Achim
Seniors, Young At Heart, will
meet noon Aug. 19 at the
synagogue. Refreshments will
be served at a charge.
"The History of Detroit and
Its Jewish Communities" will
be presented with slides by
local historian Irwin Cohen,
producer and narrator.
