a program of Hebrew, Yiddish
and English songs plus
musical comedy and opera 2
p.m. Aug. 15 at the home of
Louise Lazarus, 4836 Fair-
court Dr., West Bloomfield.
Participants include Louise
Lazarus, musical director and
lyric soprano; Sidney Miller,
tenor; Clarence Sharp,
baritone; Zelda Miller,
pianist-accompanist; Dr.
Donald Kitain; Lisa and Shel-
ly Kitain, Mindy Rose,
pianists; Evelyn Berger,
violinist; the Kozadayev fami-
ly: Veronica, Levi, Vitaly,
Adelle and Ilya, playing
piano, flute and drums. Ruth
Handelman will be the
narrator.
A dairy dinner will follow
the concert. There is a charge.

Dr. Donald Kitain will be per-

Recreation Cultural Arts
Division
will
host
Cosmopolitan in the
Southfield Concerts in the
Park Series 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at
the Prudential Sunbowl,
located behind the 3000
Prudential Town Center, off
Civic Center Drive.
Concertgoers should bring
lawn chairs or blankets.
Cosmopolitan is an 11-piece
orchestra featuring the big
band sounds of the golden era
of American music. Their
repertoire represents a range
of the music that made the
1940s so memorable.

Library Hosts
Dinner Theater

The Baldwin Public Library
will offer its dinner theater
program, perfect for all ages.
The upcoming program, titl-
ed "Oceans of Books," will
take place 7 p.m. Aug. 26 in
the library.
Participants may bring a
picnic supper (and a blanket),
and the library will supply
the punch. Children's enter-
tainer Maureen Schiffman
will present an hour of pup-
pets, songs and movement.
