Jeff Kaye has been appoint-
ed community shaliach and
director of the Israel Desk of
the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit.
He will serve as the
resource for bringing the
Israel agenda before corn-
munity organizations, assist
with organize Israel pro-
gramming and maintain
dialogue with both Jewish
and non-Jewish groups.
Previously, Mr. Kaye was
principal of the grade school
at Kiryat Ye'arim Youth
Village and a tutor at the
Melitz-Centers for Jewish
Education School for Isiael
Experiences.
He also was a junior and
grade school teacher, and
was Israel coordinator of
the Zionist Organization of
America's Masada Program.
The Israel Desk's Center
for Israel Scholarship is a
clearinghouse of informa-
tion about financial
assistance and scholarships.
Mr. Kaye also will act as
a resource for transporta-
tion, accommodations and
relocation to Israel. In
addition, he will be a source
of information about locally
and nationally sponsored
opportunities for people of
all ages and non-traditional
experiences, including high
school, university and direct
service programs.

of August 6-8.
The
Orthodox
Connection extends from
Canada to Florida. It
deals with individuals of
all ages. Every client is
personally interviewed, —\
and the information gath-
ered is entered into a
database and computer I
program designed espe-
cially for the Orthodox
Connection. An adminis-
trative fee is charged to
each client for the benefit
of the Spillmans' match- `\
making expertise and for
being part of their inter-

the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit will \
sponsor a free Family Fun /
Day and concert 1:30-4:30 \
p.m. Aug. 15 at Inglenook
Park, Southfield. The park
is located on 12 Mile Road
between Evergreen and
Lahser Roads.
