A course titled "Jewish Civil
Law," taught by Professor
Shlomo Sperka, will be of-
fered at the Wayne State
University Law School during
the semester beginning Aug.
31. The course will meet
Tuesday evenings from 6:10-8
p.m.
This course is open to
students of other law schools,
as well as to students of other
schools and the general
public, on a non-credit basis.
The course will survey
Jewish law as a legal system,
examining fundamental con-
cepts, the structure of Jewish
law and its sources. The
course also will cover contem-
porary topics such as • bio-
ethics and law in the state of
Israel.

Old Testament" will be

a.m. Sept. 8-Dec. 10.
"Jesus and Judaism" will
be taught each Monday,
Wednesday and Friday from
11-11:50 a.m. Sept. 8-Dec. 10.
This course will deal with the
political, social and economic
conditions of early Judaism
and how Christianity came to
be.
