take a trip to the COTS homeless shelter in Detroit.

"Moon" Mitchell loves
smiling for the camera
— almost as much as
she loves her new grand-
mothers.
They are COTS' newest
group of visitors: June
Stein, Pearl Scharf, Zella
Thorsen, Shirley Jaffee and
Annette Ross.
Tereka, who lives with
her mother, Sherrell, at the
Coalition of Temporary
Shelter in Detroit, enjoyed
her recent visit by these five
women from the Trowbridge
senior apartment complex
in Southfield. In fact,
Tereka had such a good
time during the visit that
T
she followed the ladies from
her day-care class to an ele-
vator to wave goodbye.
"I want you to come
back," she said.
Mrs. Ross delivered a few
handmade Booboo Bunnies
she designed with the assis-
tance of another Trowbridge
resident, Toba Rothschild.
Each bunny is made of a
colorful washcloth, complete
with an opening for an ice
cube: "You put the ice in it
and give it to a child to
place on the sore and it
diverts the attention away
from the sore," Mrs. Ross
said.
