Ann Arbor Team
Is Largest Ever

A

nn Arbor will send 24
athletes to the Mac-
cabi regional games in
Pittsburgh. It is the
largest contingent since Ann
Arbor first began participat -
ing in the Maccabi games,
in Toronto in 1986.
Ann Arbor will have a
girls basketball team, coed
volleyball team, and individ-
ual performers in swim-
ming, tennis and track.
The basketball team is
coached by Mark Singer,
with assistant coach Josh
Cutler. It includes Maccabi
veterans Sierra Bloom, Jill
Herman, Alexis Tessler and
Rebecca Wark, and Sarah
Beck, Sarah Coudron, Flora
Endelman, Sara Evers,
Ariella Klein, Emily
Lieberman and Ilana
Weaver.
The volleyball team is
coached by Kristen Sterett.
The players include Maccabi
veterans Dan Friend and
Gabe Urist, and Naomi
Adiv, Rebecca Coudron,
