The Liang's Trio Artists and
the Midwest Oriental Art
Club will present an Oriental
brush painting exhibit
through July 29 at the
Oakland County Galleria in
the Executive Office
Building.
In this exhibit, highlighting
works from three generations
of Liang family, 35 artists
display more than 100 pain-
tings featuring landscapes,
figures, animals and still lifes
capturing the essence of
Chinese art. The display also
will include traditional
calligraphy.
The exhibit is part of a part-
nership with the Birm-
ingham Bloomfield Art
Association to enhance the
cultural exchange and public
awareness of Oriental arts
and philosophy.

The Galleria is open Monday

The 19th annual Birm-
ingham Art In The Park is set
for Sept. 11, 12, in Shain
Park. The fair will feature
155 juried artists.
For the adults, Art In The
Park will host its first silent
auction.
Bidding will begin at 10
a.m. Saturday and end at 4
p.m. Sunday. For the young
art lovers, there is the
Children's Art Area featuring
face paintings and clowns.
Proceeds will help fund
Oakland County's only
24-hour crisis intervention
center, Common Ground.
Admission to Art In The
Park is free with a donation
to Common Ground. Fair
