r for S 10PS Senior Events At The JPM Alaine Waldshan, student at the University of Michigan and member of the JOIN summer intern program has begun two summer programs at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish Community Center. A discussion series will take place very Tuesday July 13-Aug. 10 at 10:30-11:30 a.m.; a creative art series will be held every Wednesday through Aug. 11 at 10:30-11:30 a.m. David Techner will share his thoughts on how to ease the pain of loss 1 p.m. July 22 at JPM. Reserve tickets at the JPM box office; there is a charge for non-members. Jack Leve will teach the fundamentals of line dances 1 p.m. July 27 at JPM. Tickets may be purchased at the JPM box office. Senior Adult Choir meets Mondays at 12:30 p.m. at JPM. New singers are welcome. Instruction in various media is available through art classes offered from 9 a.m.- noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Beginning folkdance lessons are available 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays at JPM. Cantor Max Shimansky leads a Shabbat program each Friday at 12:30 p.m. at JPM. Volunteers are needed to assist with a federally spon- sored senior hot lunch pro- gram. Duties would include setting tables, serving food and packing homebound meals. The nutrition site is the JPM. Yiddish Tales For CHaZaKaH CHaZaKaH, the Mat Shalom seniors group, will feature an afternoon of Yiddish Geschichtes 12:30 p.m. July 22. Following light refresh- ments, Sarah Levin and Ger- trude Pearl will present Yid- dish tales and stories. There is a per-person charge.
