Odyssey, AJC's singles' group, has planned a weekend getaway July 23-25 in Mackinaw City and Macki- nac Island. Highlights in- clude a Kabbalat Shabbat cruise, Mackinac Island car- riage rides, lunch at the Grand Hotel, tours of the historical sites and a visit with Mackinaw's chief ar- chaeologist to learn about the area and Ezekiel Solomon, Michigan's first Jewish trader. The weekend charge is $175 for AJC members or $210 for new members. The Detroit Chapter board is sponsoring a 12-hour fly-in to Washington, D.C., to visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Aug. 23. Par- ticipants will fly to Washington in the morning, tour the museum, visit with the museum's chief curator, meet with officials from the German Embassy and par- ticipate in an insiders' brief- ing on anti-Semitism in Europe today.
