Goes To Richard Broder

In recognition of his com-
munity involvement and
outstanding promise, Richard
Broder was presented with
the first annual Mark Family
Young Leadership Award at
last week's Jewish Federation
Young Adult Division (YAD)
annual meeting.
The award honors a YAD
leader who has demonstrated
commitment and achieved
leadership within the divi-
sion. In addition, the awardee
must be active as a volunteer
in the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign. The honor is intended
to stimulate in its recipient
an ongoing interest and ac-
tivity in the Jewish
community.
Made possible through a
gift by Florine Mark Ross and
her family, the award pro-
vides for the honoree's
attendance at the United
Jewish Appeal's Young Lead-
ership Conference in Wash-
ington, D.C.
Mr. Broder, YAD Campaign
chairman for 1993, has been
active in the Allied Jewish
Campaign for several years.
He has chaired several. YAD
Campaign committees, in-
cluding the 1988 UJA
Hatikvah Singles Mission to
Israel. A YAD board member
since 1988, he was vice presi-
dent of the division.
Mr. Broder also has served
on Federation, the United
Jewish Foundation and Fresh
Air Society.
