Later, she became a
broadcast producer for
Loren/Snyder Marketing,
followed by a similar job
at D'Arcy Masius Benton
& Bowles. She was ele-
vated to a vice presi-
dent's position at D'Arcy
before she was wooed
away by Vogue maga-
zine.
Impressed by a mar-
keting campaign she
developed for Cadillac,
Vogue executives hired
Ms. Daitch in 1986, as
Detroit manager.
The first female to
work on the Cadillac
account, she was suc-
cessful fn convincing
Cadillac of the power
and potential of the
women's market for cars.
Ms. Daitch initiated,
sold and implemented a
major travelling exhibi-
tion targeted to women.
As a result, follow-
up research showed
changes in attitudes and
purchase considerations
for Cadillac products.
Soon after, her posi-
tion was expanded to
include GQ magazine
and Canada.
The move to National
Geographic marked a
significant shift in Ms.
Daitch's career. She is
managing the nation's
top-producing office for
the magazine, which
boasts the highest
circulation of any publi-
cation in the United
States at 10 million sub-
scribers.
"She has made a sig-
nificant difference at the
magazine, increasing our
visibility in the Detroit
market place," says Joan
McGraw, vice president
and director of advertis-
ing
for National
Geographic. "Her vision
and know-how have been
the catalyst in forging
partnerships with
Geographic advertisers
that provide teachers
with meaningful en-
hancements and materi-
als."
Ms. Daitch is an active
member of the Adcraft
Club, the Women's
Advertising Club, and
she is co-regional direc-
tor for the Fashion
Group International, a
non-profit organization
designed to advance
professionalism in the
field.
She is a former trustee
for the Jewish Ensemble
Theater and serves on
the board of the Arts
Foundation of Michigan.
