Hires Cantor

Cantor Samuel Dov Berman
has been named cantor of
Temple Shir Shalom.
He is a graduate of the
Hebrew Union College -
Jewish Institute of Religion
School of Sacred Music. He
received the Altshuler Prize
for Excellence in Studies.
He has served congrega-
tions in Massachusetts and
Ontario as a cantor-educator
and as a cantor in Maryland.
Cantor Berman is a
member of the UAHC's Inter-
faith Committee. He coor-
dinated Project Manginot, a
music curriculum for
religious schools in the
Reform movement.
The cantor serves on the
editorial boards of Compass
and Shofar magazines and is
the executive editor of the Na-
tional Association of Temple
Educator's Journal.

The business of the
