GRADUATIONS, OUTDOOR PARTIES, BBQS, POOLSIDE R ETC.

jack, chopped beefsteak with
roquefort center and warm
Pancho sauce . . . whatever.
The traditional Caucus
Club is being kept that way
by new owners Mary and
Richard Belloni . . . It is so
important that they do.
Caucus Club is open
Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to
8 p.m.; and Friday, 11 a.m. to
10:30 p.m. . . . For the time be-
ing, Saturday and Sunday are
used solely for private parties
and catering.
Parking at the Caucus Club
is directly next door in its at-
tended lot.
At the door, as people enter
this legendary restaurant, is
the English Beefeater gentle-
man statue greeting custo-
mers as he has done for about
10 or 12 years.
Just being in the Caucus
Club gives one a lovely feel-
ing . . . Here is a legend
which has withstood the fac-
tors of time and pitfalls that
have closed other places
downtown . . . If for no other
reason to say, "I was at the
Caucus Club," folks should
visit this time-honored
restaurant . . . It holds a lot of
fond memories for the greats
of show business, sports and
business worlds who prefer-
red Caucus Club rather than
London Chop House because
of its dignified intimacy .. .
And certainly the many who
remember Les and Sam's
"other restaurant" across the
street from their world-
famous London Chop House.
The breath of a legend can
be fiery strong like a dragon,
or wheezy-weak like a 100-
year-old man with asthma .. .
Caucus Club is once again
proving its strength . . . as
solid and sturdy as the foun-
dation of the Penobscot
Building in which it is
located.
Caucus Club has been
another of our wonderful din-
ing claims to fame . . . and
still is.

WHODUNNIT "Mystery

sundae . . . No RSVP after

or Claudia, owner Frank
Passalacqua's wife, any
time 9 to 5, 833-0700.

who have tasted Irene's

Woo because of numerous
customer requests.

Heller are engaged for a 1994
summer wedding . . . She is

their vows with 135 guests at
Sabbath services of Temple
Israel in Merritt Island, Fla.
. . . They were married May
14, 1933, with another De-
troiter couple, Betty and Jack
Kroker, who recently moved
from this area to Palm
Springs, Calif.
