At a dedication ceremony at the Jewish Community Center, Tony and
Dorothy Volpe display the award presented to them by Louis Silverfarb, of
the Dr. John J. Mames Chapter-Michigan Region of American Red Magen
David for Israel. This award was given for the fully-equipped MDA ambu-
lance they donated to Israel's emergency medical, blood and ambulance
service in memory of Mr. Volpe's late wife, Geneva Volpe. Mr. Volpe, a
Catholic, acknowledged his wife's love of Israel as inspiring the gift in her
memory.
