Seymour Sterling Seymour "Sy" Sterling, 69, of Bloomfield Hills, died June 4. Mr. Sterling founded S. Ster- ling Company; he was the first Hewlett Packard Co. manufacturers representative in the Midwest. He oversaw 32 different companies, which became the Comtel Corpora- tion in 1968. In 1975, Mr. Sterling found- ed Sterling Technologies of Farmington Hills, manufac- turing engine control systems and instrument panels for the heavy-duty truck industry. An honor graduate of Lawrence Institute of Tech- nology, Mr. Sterling was associated with the develop- ment of missile guidance systems, test equipment used for automotive quality and digital display technology.
