Jason, son of Bobbie and Gary Miller of West Bloomfield, was in- stalled at the synagogue's an- nual Installation/Youth Awards Evening. Also serving on the new MTUSY executive board are Jeremy Gordon, Robert Yost, Justin Trivax, Jessica Nack and Aaron Weiss. The Youth Department has presented the following awards for 1992-1993: Jeremy Gordon received the Madelon and Louis Seligman Youth Education Award for con- tinued pursuit of Jewish education. Wendy Betel was given the Louis and Lena Linden Memorial Award for the greatest aptitude shown for leadership in Jewish life. The National Men's Club Youth Award went to Caryn Lubetsky, Jason Miller received the Ronnie Posen Youth Award. Recipients of the United Synagogue Youth Leadership Awards were: Aaron Weiss, Karen Stern, Andy Kirschner, Alisa Nack, Jessica Nack and Robert Yost. Beverly Betel, Marcia Gordon and Rachel Weiss received the Shoresh Youth Award. Adat Shalom Synagogue will hold its annual Youth Honoree Shabbat 9 a.m. June 5. The service will honor Adat Shalom youth who will at- tend Camp Ramah this sum- mer as campers or staff, who will travel to Israel on educa- tion programs or who are Nosh 'n Drash seniors. Students who are graduating from Hillel Day School and the Community Jewish High School will also be honored. The youth will be called to the bimah. Rabbi Spectre will present them with a gift on behalf of the congregation. SZ Holds Confirmation A confirmation ceremony will be held 10 a.m. June 6 at Con- gregation Shaarey Zedek. The confirmands will present a cantata Consisting of essays written by the students and -mmulask• directed by Cantor Chaim Najman. Beth Achim Youth Events Congregation Beth Achim's Junior Congregation will celebrate the last Shabbat service of the year by inviting their parents and grand- parents to the service 10 a.m. June 12.
