Dinner, Lectures

Eugene Sherizen has been
appointed Machon L'Torah's
annual banquet chairman.
Mr. Sherizen, president of
Lighting Supply Co., Fern-
dale, is an activist and philan-
thropist involved with
numerous charitable projects.
The annual banquet will
feature Rabbi Ephraim Buch-
wald of New York, who is
president of the National
Jewish Outreach Programs.
The event will be held June 9
at the Plaza Hotel. For reser-

Machon Elbrah will hold
two pre-Shavuot seminars.
On May 24, Rabbi Avraham
Jacobovitz will lead a pro-
gram on "Shavuot - The For-
gotten Holiday of All
Holidays" 7:30 p.m. May 24.

In conjunction with Project
Achim, Machon will hold a
Sunday morning program for
new immigrants 11 a.m. May
23. The program will feature

Muslim fundamentalism 8:30
p.m. May 24 at the Birm-
ingham Temple. He will
discuss "Muslim Fundamen-
talism: India and Pakistan."
